@Purism Please avoid having qwerty onscreen keyboards on mobile it makes no sense. I use en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MessagEa which is sadly nonfree but there may be free alternatives outthere. At least dasher (mentionned is the blog post) seems fun 😄 But I’m not sure it’s that efficient.
From what I know compass keyboard is a dead project.

But just include a basic qwerty keyboard for the launch and maybe someone else will code a messagease clone :-D

Why not create your own version and enable it as an alternative? There are hundreds of people who would be perfectly happy with a qwerty keyboard, and this is the point of open source.
