@Rehmanism same here as a Hindu living in a segregated society. But it makes me think, is it better for safety that communities be segregated or desegregated?
@Rehmanism I get it! And yet - this makes me incredibly sad. Our country has let a HUGE section of our brethren down. Who feel safer to not venture out amidst us all. For Muslims and Dalits, we are the equivalent of a leching perverted groper ready to pounce on the beautiful 15 year old minding her own business and walking home. As someone who’s had friends in both Islamic and Dalit sections - every occurrence of this realisation has been a TIGHT slap to the face. We deserve it! FWIW - Sorry!
In the current political climate, yes. They should stick together
But once it goes away (hopefully soon) we need integration and information mediation or else the entire community will become what became of the Vietnamese in the US and other countries post the Vietnam war. Their refusal for integration and ghettoism is reason for most of their perils with a highly disconnected diaspora and practically no sustainable businesses.
National integration of cultures is paramount
