Oh, I wonder if there is a text/terminal only instance or a terminal program that connects to an instance. I may end up on a very slow connection and i'd like to still be able to ramble random things here.

@Ronflaix don't think so but APIs are available, it would presumably just behave like a mobile client eg not be tied to an instance, just a way of looking at one
@Ronflaix I'm sure you can use xmpp to toot. At least you could in the olden days with status.net
