The irony is always that pre-smartphone, you got a new charger *every* time you bought a phone, and not once every 5-7 years.
And in the smartphone era, we’ve had:
iOS: 30-Pin, Lightning, 🆕
Others: mini-USB, micro-USB, (blessedly limiter) micro-USB 3.0, and now USB-C.
