@Saumyakul Tales of Toyland, The Five Findouters and Dog, The Secret Garden, Little Men, Count of Monte Cristo, Jane Eyre, Pride & Prejudice, The Black Tulip, Uncle Remus's stories.
@Saumyakul I used to enjoy Mandrake comics quite a lot. Still do, but they have become so expensive :(
I have missed out on too many kiddie books in my childhood, but hey, catching up now! This is a very fun and simple tale, but the lasting message in this story stayed with me - in acts where children cross boundaries set by adults are signals of their creativity and potential. So nice!
103rd of the year.
@ashwin @musafir @Saumyakul Stumbled across this list.
https://slate.com/human-interest/2019/11/50-best-nonfiction-books.html. I seem to have one in my bookshelf. Might be handy for you folks while setting targets for 2020;-)
@Gargron pls make a note of these news anchors /editors who are on a job to spread hate and fake news in India. Stay away from them.
Requiring GST for ALL online sales, no matter how small the amount the amount is demented. Please set a decent minimum turnover.
Unless the govt wants to spend thousands to prosecute 100rs sales for not paying 18rs tax
18%GST on health insurance premium is cruel. Please remove that. @email@example.com @PMOIndia@twitter.com
@Samyukth I think it's just a way you take it. I think it's a good way to push ourselves towards new ideas and perspectives. But the other way is what you are doing right now piling on and leaving things incomplete. That's much like life. Some of us have things planned and make it easy and some of us are unplanned and messy, but both beautiful.
@Saumyakul :) I can't tell you how good it feels to hold a book again. Not that I didn't read at all in the past year, but it went down significantly from what I used to. And whatever little I read was mostly online, but holding a book and reading it....Koi doosra alternative hi nahi ho sakta!
So I am going to re-read one of my favourite books probably the 100th time now. It's Mitch Albom's "Tuesdays with Morrie". And here I will quote what I like from it. So please bear with me.
And I realised that I have stopped reading from the last year and a half and @Saumyakul and her book toots inspired me to begin reading again. Grateful to #fediverse for bringing me back to the joy of reading :)
