@Shamar "in a GNU manual I want to see political statements." funny because i want to see documentation first
"More precisely I want straight politics in free software." alright, then interject politics *where it is relevant*
"removing [...] ethics from software" who said anything about ethics? you invalidated whatever point you had there
i want you to stop baiting for support from the fediverse with your
#over #use #of #hash #tags and develop actual argumentation to defend your points, and make an effort to have an adult conversation with me instead of calling for backup by retagging people i explicitly removed with the intent of not dragging them in to your low-effort buzzword-filled posts
correct me if im fucking wrong

second, being a programmer is instrumental in programming, and being a software developer is instrumental in software development. the userbase plays a role too, of course, with requesting features and providing bug reports. what does capitalism have to do with this?
i totally agree about the GNU tools. i disagree about calling "refraining from irrelevant political focus" equivalent to being a cultural slave, partially because i have no idea what the hell a "cultural slave" even is and i feel like it's a new colloquialism being thrown around.
freedom is important, yes, and software freedom *automatically* proposes allowing people from all walks of life to access this software. see the tor project for instance; it allows people from oppressive networks to safely engage in free discussion.
but software is equally important, because without it, what the hell are you going to make free? people seem to forget this
