I would deem this one of the lesser catastrophic calamities that does affect people in a broad sense but does not affect their lifelyhood in any matter, actually these companies are responsible for a lot of improvements in our lifes. There are other things that we just can not gloss over any longer, but we do!
The consumer/user is way more exposed in a normal shopping environment! How do big supermarkt chains understand their customers without asking them? Every other business wants you to rate the experience! Never ever have those big chains ever needed you to say what you want in your market! They already know.

But the availability of #BigData changed the game.
Large amount of high quality #data that we leak every day made the old techniques (did you know that #NeuralNetworks are almost 70 years old?) much much more #predictive.
Now they do not even need to know you, if they know enough people like you.

Anybody can use neural networks for his or her advantage, eventually everyday problems will be solved through AI! It will be the new cellphone, cam you imagine that? Maybe the singularity is just one of those old surreal pictures about the future in 2030. Chrome, chrome everywhere! BTW chrome(ium) is still deemed the safest browser out there... wtf?

So what are we even talking about? The most correct internet troll of the century? He knows you because he just does. Ever encountered such people IRL? We do this all the time, because we needed to survive much harder conditions.
