will A not see B at all, even in retweets?
can A users not follow B users?
@ShugoWah i believe silencing an instance causes it to not show up in the timeline. i think some have referred to it better as "default block". unless you follow a person from that instance, you wont see anything from that specific person, or anyone else you dont follow
@ShugoWah It basically means you don't see anything on the silenced instance except for people on it you follow.
One odd thing is if you personally mute an instance at the user level, it blocks the whole thing and forces everyone on it following you to unfollow. So not a "mute."
@ShugoWah it actually depends on the level of the silencing. You can block media, block direct interaction from people who aren't following individuals on the blocked instance, or you can outright blackhole them. It's sorta flexible.
