I switched to DuckDuckGo a few weeks ago, I've consciously switched from the big G for a lot of reasons - mostly privacy.
I dunno how good DDG is - mostly because I'm not looking for hard to find things, so there's no real vector to compare on. One observation though: it's a haven for piracy. You search for a non-major motion picture, you'll get as many DDL and streaming sites as you will information about that picture. Books are the same. No comment, just merely observing.
It's really quite strange being an #ncfc fan at the moment. Last year, we had a similar run of form, but it felt kinda flukey. This time we're good. Like REALLY good.
Tried watching the Conor McGregor press conference last night. Few observations:
1) The metamorphis is complete, he's an absolute caricature of himself.
2) The MMA press borders on sycophantic. He'll stutter out a hacky one-liner, and the birdsite goes apeshit for it.
3) I expect USADA has stopped testing for recreational drugs.
Not only is the BBC responsible disclosure policy (https://www.bbc.com/backstage/security-disclosure-policy/) making our site more secure, it also gives me an excuse to jump in and unapologetically write code again.
I've been looking for an accessible, online scrabble-like game for years, that works with VoiceOver on iOS and Talkback on Android. This seems to be the closest thing. My wife loves it, and I play vicariously through her, but would like to play myself. Unfortunately it's not even remotely accessible however.
Please, if you have the time, vote this idea up so it's taken more seriously by the developers. I would be grateful. Thank you.

New people of Mastodon:
Welcome! I'm happy you are here! Here are some tips for accessibility
You can add a description to an image you post by clicking on the image before you hit TOOT! Type in a brief description. It helps people who use screen readers to know what the image is.
When using a hashtag:
Not good: #hereismyhashtag
Screen readers garble the first one, but can read the second one because of the capitalization.
