@salty145_ I don’t want to spoil it too much but: desperate to free himself, Laurent makes a deal with the Devil. That Deal brings him to meet Beast, a disfigured Biker with a bad attitude and a very short temper.

The novel is about Laurent learning to navigate his surroundings(very cute and funny) while trying to keep his end of the deal with the devil. (Scary and not so funny)

Things become complicated when Beast and Laurent start falling for each other.

@salty145_ what makes this book so great for me is how they treat Beast’s drama. He’s heavily disfigured as well as emotionally scarred. He doesn’t like people and his potential to turn things around for himself has died. The authors (two co-writers sharing one pen name) really dig deep into his character to bring out the worst in him. They don’t redeem or “fix” Beast either.

But every coin has two sides. So you get to see some of his better moods.

Oh and he has a DOG.

@salty145_ Also, Laurent is not such a sweet person underneath the cuteness. The authors can really write three dimensional characters.

Lastly, their “love” story is such a natural progression. They have to work for it if they truly want to be together. They will have to make some sacrifices.

number 2 I have somewhat slight schadenfreude for some people and especially Romance this book will please me well
