Tumblr choosing to enact its NSFW purge on this specific day may be a coincidence, but it sure as shit feels like a purposeful choice in the end.

To me, Tumblr banning sexual content is like the guy cutting a tree branch to get rid of a pest, but he's on the wrong side of the branch.

Social media monopolies are oblivious to the fact that they're not monopolies anymore, and that there is a grassroot alternative already.

Even worse: they still think of ads as a sustainable business model.

The only way they can triumph is if they legislate us out of existence (and we should be wary of that, BTW).
