Kaijuly, Ultraman Day, the upcoming movie marathon on Facebook, and more?!?! Get all the deets over on the blog! https://monstersconquertheworld.com/2019/07/10/kaijuly-2019/
Bummed but not surprised to see the Wii U gamepad get left out of the spooktacular fun.
I reviewed Godzilla: King of the Monsters! Unpacking the biggest, most ambitious, most spectacular Godzilla movie ever made! Plus Easter eggs and references you might have missed, a look at the other Toho monsters (AND GAMERA?!?!) that were almost in it, a perfectly reasonable, restrained amount of Bradley Whitford appreciation, AND MORRRE?!?! https://monstersconquertheworld.com/2019/06/30/godzilla-king-of-the-monsters/
The 1942 Superman cartoon "The Arctic Giant" features a big pissed-off dino-monster rampaging through a city, immune to conventional weapons. If this isn't Godzilla's dad, it's at least his frumpy uncle or something!

I had never heard of Maze before VintageRPG (vintagerpg.tumblr.com) posted about it, but it looks and sounds AWESOME. It's a puzzle book from '85 with a beautiful aesthetic, an intriguingly vague, sketched-in story, and an air of menace without outright horror. A single-player, puzzle-and-riddle oriented dungeon crawl! Like an analog version of Myst! Fascinating!
The death sound in the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man is one of the best, most iconic noises ever: https://youtu.be/TY33YKklnV0
