I have think it would helpful to be able to "turn up and down the volume on" on some accounts - I don't want to mute, but for example only receive 3/10 of their toots. Any 3 would be fine. This feels like it would be easy to do and really useful. Please do let me know if such a thing exists... :) #featurerequest
@shoutcacophony Thanks for the suggestions.
For now I'm going to hope that someone will take the suggestion on as a project so that it can become a standard feature (fingers crossed).
@Tdorey i agree!
i've unfollowed accounts that i would be likely to follow if their posting frequency was less.
i know of at least one person who feels the same way about my account on ACP
@Tdorey I think you might call this feature "pump down the jams".
@Tdorey
I've wanted the same feature for Twitter (hi Patton Oswalt) and tumblr, but biased toward the posts that get more boosts. Anyway, github is probably the place to ask for this?
@deutrino That's what I was trying to remember when I tagged feature request. Thanks!
@Tdorey out of curiosity, would you prefer this to be algorithmicly determined with some delay—show me the 3/10 toots with most favs from this instance, for example—or completely random but immediate??
@kibi Completely random and at the individual account level.
@Tdorey It would be cool if you could get a number for the average percentage your posts take up on your follower's streams. "On average 5.4 of the last 30 toots on your follower' s home were yours"
@Tdorey not that i know of, but you can hide boosts from an account, as well as filter out keywords (in general), which may lessen an account's frequency of posts/boosts.
it might be possible to filter out keywords on a per-account basis, but don't quote me on that, it depends on how well the filtering commands work for that task
