Random images of young women picked off the Internet circulated to discredit JNU students' protest - Alt News https://buff.ly/2r7penm
Next time you cry about "lawlessness" in the country, remember how you turned your backs on students getting beaten up for protesting fee hike. Remember how you sided with the establishment in their attempt to make education inaccessible to the poor.
@sanjayuvacha Political class has always kept this well scripted. Keep the less privileged education less, dream less. Makes it much easier to keep them under the thumb.
@sanjayuvacha And this is NOT my car. Spotted in Nagpur. Do people even read history?
I've also imported the Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Urdu and other new translations from Crowdin. If you would like to see those translations completed, you can contribute here:
Please look at that page before asking for new languages to be added! They are probably already there!!
It's you who have failed this country and not the students. You promised but never lived upto the highest values of Journalism. Don't place too much on their shoulders. They are already fighting their good fight.
You do your job Instead of questioning their stance. We shall see, very well, what changes you are willing to incorporate in the coming days. The question is actually, on You!
How about not endorsing the views of politicians who have called students 'insects crawling out of drain' How about treating them equally as a human first.
Before, questioning students who are fighting for their educational rights, trying to save academia from clutches of corporates & private players.
It's the media who should ponder on it's own state, whether they wish to act as watchdog or lapdog of privileged & twice-born.
Some people in media fraternity feel that the suspicion & mistrust, students of JNU have of the media stems from how they have been demonized in the past years. Is there possibility of a dialogue between both.
I have few things to say in this regard.
Now that media has shown intentions to change, some might be having a genuine willingness, I am sure about it. How about not building a falsified narrative around students, labeling them 'anti national' or urban naxals.
CJI Gogoi : A Term Of Misses And Omissions
During the term of #CJIRanjanGogoi Gogoi, we saw the Supreme Court looking the other way when citizens complained of violation of basic rights.
My column for @LiveLawIndia@twitter.com
@ranjona Nepal has banned quite a few Patanjali products for containing pathogens, but India will treat this shit as premium!
An excellent outline of the personal information component of the privacy rights that India should have.
Also something to benchmark OUR Data Protection bill against, as and when it happens.

At this very young organisation that i run - Veditum - we've initiated a fellowship - #MovingUpstream - to get young Indians to walk along our rivers to document the rivers and life around it.
These are notes from our first fellowship. Observations on wild birds made by @anupa while walking along River Betwa.

Ministers Who Failed To Act In Aid Of #Sabarimala Judgment, Violate Their Constitutional Oath: SC Justices Nariman and Chandrachud.
*BUT insulting Constitution doesn't amount to equal to disrespecting it😜
*BUT the perpetrators are allowed to enjoy all the facilities and position as MP in our prestigious Parliament😆
*BUT the Ministers are further advised & requested not to disrespect our Constitution and in future be cautious enough😎

Aatish Taseer said that it was "a very-very ugly thing for a democracy like India, the light of freedom in Asia, to be going after someone as small as a writer."
Exactly the point where I differ with him. A writer, that too of his stature, is never small. And this govt. does not have the merit to counter him with words. Hence, their vindictive petty politics comes into play.
In pursuit of good food 😊
