@richardgoodness I finished Ember! Fun, uncomplicated CRPG which never got TOO hard, and had a few interesting ideas. There was a cute bit with 3 bears, too. Not sure if you'd like it, but it's pretty easy to play and only took me about 14 hours.
@richardgoodness I grabbed Ember from the GOG sale for $4. A pretty unassuming, uncomplicated real time with pause game so far. Nothing amazing, but enjoyable enough to bash around in for a bit. Have you tried it?
Good evening Mastodon! Here's my drawing practice for the night! ^_^ https://mastodon.social/media/gv8D_N5FhGoS0gBoqmg
Good evening Mastodon! I had time for another loose photo study between work and band practice!

I did a loose portrait study tonight, Mastodon. ^__^ https://mastodon.social/media/d35J5pkpH80YQ5w-uEI
@richardgoodness Also, my next game I'm checking out is Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession. Hoo boy, this one was hard to get into, not the best introduction to the world.
@richardgoodness Did you see that the CRPG Book Project is finished and released? https://crpgbook.wordpress.com/2018/02/05/update-19-crpg-book-released/
@richardgoodness I am up to the Castle Cimmeria in Lands of Lore. It's been a pretty dense but fun adventure so far, hoping I can make decent progress on this over the weekend, which I assume is the end of the game!
WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU HADN'T SAVED HIM?
"Yes! The sun would have risen just the same, yes?"
"Oh, come on. You can't expect me to believe that. It's an astronomical fact."
THE SUN WOULD NOT HAVE RISEN.
"Really? Then what would have happened, pray?"
A MERE BALL OF FLAMING GAS WOULD HAVE ILLUMINATED THE WORLD.
They walked in silence for a moment.
“Ah,” said Susan dully. “Trickery with words. I would have though you’d have been more literal-minded than that.”
I AM NOTHING IF NOT LITERAL-MINDED. TRICKERY WITH WORDS IS WHERE HUMANS LIVE.
All right," said Susan. "I'm not stupid. You're saying humans need... fantasies to make life bearable."
REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.
"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little—"
YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.
"So we can believe the big ones?"
YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.
"They're not the same at all!"
YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET—Death waved a hand. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.
"Yes, but people have got to believe that, or what's the point—"
MY POINT EXACTLY
@richardgoodness I'm enjoying M&M7, I just did the Walls of Mist, but my gosh, it becomes a bit of a poorly balanced mess, doesn't it?
The Barrow Downs is the most interesting and complete feeling dungeon I've done in M&M7 so far. The haunted house was pretty light, and the bandit filled sewers were alright, but a bit brief.
These, however, were a fun, multi part dungeon with an interesting concept that they're built around, and a couple of objectives to fulfill. More like this, please!
Spent some of lunch bashing trolls, teaching my cleric some of my favourite buff spells and leveling everybody up. I also installed the mouselook mod, and it works great!
One thing I like is that there are neutral beasts now. This is a neutral griffin in Steadwick that guards the city. Outside of the city there are wild griffins, that will attack. It's a nice touch that helps the world to feel a bit more dynamic and interesting!
