@hbenjamin @TiKXI @Gargron This is why I started to agree less and less with Alec Muffett, the more he said. Because the more I thought about it, the more it felt like all the hard work was already solved.

- Cipher suite negotiation for which encryption public key encryption to use
- EDH key exchange for shared session secrets
- When a new encryption standard is in use by one party, use the old encryption standard to sign an upgrade-path message or somesuch.

EU to Facebook, Apple, Signal, Telegram, etc.: Open your APIs and play nice with others, or GTFO.

If this sticks it will be a massive win for an open internet.

@feoh Personally, all the emails from my mail server have always ended up in spam at google's, no matter how well it's configured. Me think that's not a matter of well configured server, but more a matter of screwing up people that dare to be free from their sh*t.
