My recommendation for this Friday is a Youtube channel "dedicated solely to reviewing historical movies. Ever wondered how much a film is based on a true story? This is the place to find out"
From "A Bridge to Far" to "Zulu", everything historical in Film is reviewed. Zach Snyder's 300 or Mel Gibson's Patriot don't fare so well,
while Spielberg's Band of Brothers, Peter Weir's Master & Commander and even Emmerich's Midway are highly praised. History Buff's goal is not to put films down, but simply to impart knowledge.
As film fans, we want to know how Al Capone was actually caught and what was made more dramatic in Untouchables? We watch Bohemian Rhapsody and ask ourselves, how much of this really happend, and do we get an accurate depiction of Vikings in the TV Series Vikings!
