Todays #Tusky nightly update is release candidate for Tusky 8! Please test and tell me about any bugs.
@gaditb @fuzzylynx @fedilab @Tusky @codewiz @mayel Yea but, to be blunt, if you were a Gab user then nobody here ought to care about your relationship with Gab's admin. So if I as a dev decide to bar you from using my app to spread hate over on gab, my only feeling for your frustrated relationship with your instance admins is schadenfreude. You don't get to use my labour to call for genocide.
i stan the everloving fuck out of @Tusky

Btw, would you like to have the option to show link previews on all statuses, not only on detailed ones?
Link previews are generated by the server, #Tusky would not connect to the linked websites.
Before I go off to celebrate Midsummer by being in bed sick (Swedish woes), I want to share a small update.
#Tusky will keep blocking servers which actively promote fascism. This in particular means Gab.
We will get our next release out just in time for the 4th of July.
Don't even try to debate us about Free Speech. This is our speech, exercising #ANTIFA views. And we will keep doing it
We will post a bigger update at a later time about what this all really means.
Blog post on everything Tusky and rickrolling, a one-stop-shop of all of my rebuttals against the common arguments I've seen over the past week or so.
hey, my
android masto client, @Tusky , just merged the PR that will rickroll people on fash instances. I'm going to show my support by donating to them on https://opencollective.com/tusky , and if you want to support them & have the means, maybe you could too!
Today was being a shitty day (again, just monday) but then I read about @Tusky blocking nazi instances and that made my day.
It's a good day to be contributor of this.
@nonoriri @Tusky Let me go further:
Any program is a limitation of the possible spectrum of functionalities.
Code are constraints.
According to what you say, the only valid program is an empty hard-drive with infinite space because that's the only way to keep the "code" able to potentially make anything you like with it.
And that's just insane. Isn't it?
I understand that you don't like the decision, but the justification you are using is (sorry, you know I love you) just wrong.
@nonoriri @Tusky The freedom number 0 makes you use the software for whatever you like, it doesn't mean they have to include the functionalities you want.
It means you can use the software to print it and decorate your bedroom walls with it but you can't force the developers to enable or disable certain functionalities.
The freedom to choose the functionalities of your program is the second (or the number 1, lol), that lets you change it as you wish.
You are free, but developers are too.
