Dear Privacy Fans,

Last week, on Friday, a post was made on our social media profiles which goes against our core values as team members and as a company. This post was made in poor judgement, without stopping and examining the underlying racist and sexist problems posed by this meme template, and it does not represent the culture and environment of the Tutanota Team. After a period of approximately 30 minutes the offensive post was removed from all platforms and a "brief" apology was posted.

The analogy wholly fails, no matter the version of the term cuck you use. Using a woman as analogy for your personal data that NEEDS your protection..( is the sexist part) from the dark skinned males (is the racist part.) Implying you need to man up and protect your woman or control your woman or lock her away from temptation gyahhh it gets worse the more you dissect it. Out of the millions of ways to advertise the simple message: "We protect your personal data" THIS is what survived the pitch meeting. No one even broached the obvious "Hey, Bob, from this photo it kinda looks to me like your personal data wants to be shared, and Bob, did ... you ... take .. this photo?" Right about now, Bob would be cleaning out his desk if this went out without review and a full court PR press would be all over this thread.

@Tutanota Did you fire the person who posted the racist/sexist meme? Or will you just start micromanaging everything that they want to share so you can filter how sexist/racist they are?
