Curious about how, exactly, airlines and Boeing are expecting taking the 737 MAX back into service is going to go after a solid year or two of it being in the news as "the death airplane that kills you".

Like, the 737 MAX is probably now the most-recognised airplane brand. Recognised fo killing lots of people because of being shoddily made.

@WAHa_06x36 I’m thinking it might suffer a similar fate to Concorde. It will return to service, people will refuse to fly on it if given a choice, airlines will not buy any more of them, 737 MAX slowly dies out.

@chidgey That seems like a good guess, but even that sounds like a best case.

@WAHa_06x36 Yup. Been researching Lion Air 610 and the MAX for the next episode of Causality:

@WAHa_06x36 @chidgey they can confuse everyone by renaming it. Claiming that the upgrades justify calling it, say, the 737 Super. Or SafeLiner. As long as the type designation on tickets doesn’t say 737MAX, most people will not really care.
