“the bill would make it ‘unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.’

Mississippi politician files ‘Contraception Begins at Erection Act’

wlbt.com/2025/01/22/mississipp

@WarnerCrocker
Is it plastic particles in their brains that is making them go loony?

@palin @WarnerCrocker
So women can pleasure themselves but men can't. Hahahaha 😂

@WarnerCrocker This is Afghanistan you're referring to, right? RIGHT?

@WarnerCrocker Please for the love of all things unholy

tell me this is satire

@Susibryant @admin @WarnerCrocker

“It’s not satire. It’s Mississippi.”

New state slogan just dropped!!!
Can they put it on the license plates?

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @WarnerCrocker

the guy who wrote and is pushing it is a democrat.

@admin @GhostOnTheHalfShell I point fingers at stupid all the time. Every time.

@WarnerCrocker @GhostOnTheHalfShell

And good, as people should,
just seems that politicians on both sides of the isle are running on stupid now.

@WarnerCrocker

"fertilize an embryo"?

An embryo is a fertilised egg, you can't fertilise it again.

@WarnerCrocker

Laughing hard, scared the Bengal lunatic.

*wiping eyes* OK, so every human being drops skin cells, hair, bits of fingernail, etc. all the time. All these cells carry genetic material - it's called DNA.

Secondly, fertilization of an embryo is, er, redundant. Impossible, even. Eeeejit.

@WarnerCrocker He's a Democrat and filed the bill to draw attention to the absurdity of laws that regulate women's reproductive rights.

@WarnerCrocker is this the stuff of gop wet dreams?

@SRDas Seems to me if the bill ever passes that would be illegal

@WarnerCrocker would that be a miscarriage (of justice)

@WarnerCrocker Imagine men having to worry about government control of their reproductive organs. Gonna watch this one.

@WarnerCrocker @SRDas My wife is asking who would enforce this. 🤣

@WarnerCrocker @xvf17 @SRDas I mean maybe, the creator of the series is Dick Wolf implying some nasty enforcement.

@WarnerCrocker What a "Fun" little Bizarro Universe America lives in these days..

@WarnerCrocker

Seems politicians are dealing with illiteracy.

An embryo is the developmental stage 3-8 weeks post fertilization of an egg.

After fertilization comes the zygote, then the blastula, then the embryo.

After the embryonic stage comes the fetus.

This was 7th grade biology in the 90s when I was teaching it in Lubbock, TX.

@WarnerCrocker

Is set politician aware that I think guys get a chubby while they sleep they’re not aware of? But you know if they just wanna have an excuse to throw any mail in jail because reasons I guess they can do them.

Republicans are gonna Republican

@WarnerCrocker Has nobody seen Legally Blonde? Sheezus.

@redrummy @WarnerCrocker could be considered reckless abandonment

@lochnix @WarnerCrocker This would have already been litigated YEARS ago.

@WarnerCrocker Yeah. I'm not so sure that the US got rid of all the lead piping...

@WarnerCrocker he's apparently a democrat and black, so I'm hoping this is an act of both resistance and satire

@WarnerCrocker This is weirdly not as absurd as it seems. It seems to be a response to all the anti-abortion laws that are being passed:

“All across the country, especially here in Mississippi, the vast majority of bills relating to contraception and/or abortion focus on the woman’s role when men are fifty percent of the equation.

This bill highlights that fact and brings the man’s role into the conversation. People can get up in arms and call it absurd but I can’t say that bothers me.”

These recent laws, & the enforcement & investigation practices surrounding them, are essentially making it illegal for a woman to allow an ovum to exit her Fallopian tubes without the intent to fertilize an embryo, so it's only fair that men should have to play by the same rules.

@Gorfram If you read the actual bill, look at Section 1 subsection 4. It's PRO contraception! @WarnerCrocker

@BackFromTheDud @Gorfram I did. You are correct. But in the end it is just a stunt.

@Gorfram It is indeed. But it is in the end just a stunt.
