One of the kittens fell into the toilet as Jaco was peeing in it.
I heard a *plop* and then an 'oh no...'.
Given that we're water-saving with the drought, we don't flush after every pee. So uh, yeah, kitty needed a bath.
He did NOT appreciate my attempts to dry him afterward (would have left him, but it's chilly here now, going into winter, and the kittens are still small). My hand is proper shredded.
@gemlog On my drawing hand, too XD
@WelshPixie Well. There weren't a lot of alternatives. Inaction wasn't one of them.
@gemlog Indeed! Had to be done
@WelshPixie
Poor kitty has at least learned a valuable lesson D:
@WelshPixie I hope you can appreciate the humour in this. Though I also feel that it's got plenty of "tragedy" in the sense of it's really sad on a lot of levels as well.
@JigmeDatse aye 😂 it was bound to happen at some point, heh
@WelshPixie I'm not that familiar with kittens and cats, having never been owned by any. I have been borrowed from time to time, but never been owned...
@WelshPixie oh noooo
@WelshPixie
that's literally happened with every litter of kittens I've raised....sorry for the urgent bath and unhappy kitten drying...
learned the hard way to try keeping kittens out of the bathroom as much as possible & keeping the toilet closed all the time...
@MissSnarkerson Can't keep it closed when it's busy being peed in XD But yeah I hear ya. Our other cats-who-were-once-kittens have done it too.
@WelshPixie
that whole curiosity/discovering the world/being unhappy with negative consequences thing.....kittens are a never ending source of joy, amusement, and consternation :)
@MissSnarkerson Yup! One of them has found out where the paper receipts that @warpgate9 rolls up for them come from. He stuffs them under his wallet on top of a dish of coins on the table. The kitten now jumps onto the table, carefully slides a receipt out from the pile with his teeth, hops down onto the floor with it, and then starts playing.
@WelshPixie nasty.
