The conversation continued, "It's this, or I carry a massive protest poster with pics of the animals that died for your coat with the caption 'I want to live' - your call!"

I mean, if they're comfortable wearing body parts, then this should be just fine with them, right?

One by one, over and over, there are individuals, organizations, and government entities that are banning use of leather and fur. And really, let's be honest: some of these fashion shows are plenty strange enough without adding wearable body parts to the mix.

Yet more proof that there's no need at all to use animal's bodies, and especially not in the name of "fashion".

This brings to mind that William Inge quote, "We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form."

In addition to the furs, they could also have to wear (or carry) all their leather shoes. What else could be piled on?

Of note, a personal friend of the YVFI project is trying to bring more vegan-friendly eating options to place that REALLY needs it in an out-of-the-way (but tourism popular) corner of Canada. Efforts like this really do help to ease people's transition to the lifestyle.

This brings to mind a scene from Earthlings that's particularly haunting; anyone who's watched it will know what I'm referring to. Can you imagine being confronted by your victims (from your pre-vegan days) in this way?

Of course, as demand for this "byproduct" continues to decline, the practice of killing these individuals becomes less financially viable. Let's continue to encourage people to let their feet talk for them, eh? =o)

It's horrifying enough that these bodies are worn as fashion to begin with, but it's even more so when you find out at how many deaths are caused to create each item. Did YOU know how many individuals go in to making a single garment? It's astounding!
