Left: the northern Blazing star. Celebrated, cherished, considered a treasure.

Right: knapweed. Reviled, and depending on where you live, it's considered an invasive weed.

I don't know the one on the left. But what you call an invasive species is part of the natural Flora, where I live.
While golden rod and Erigeron is considered invasive...

@Sibylle that is wild! I'm in Maine where knapweed is listed as a pest and removal recommended.

Meanwhile there a place with blazing star, the "good" one, that some people celebrate as one of the most beautiful nature spots in the world.
