Alright, pushed/merged a rewrite of the XML rendering code for #Mastodon. It now uses Ox instead of Nokogiri and doesn't load a template. This should reflect on Atom feed loading times but also background jobs that involve sending Atom payloads to other instances. Here I go to sleep.

being a nice person isn't easy. this world is saturated with bigotry and hatred, that diffuses into you from birth. it is a radical step to understand that you have internalized this hatred, and that to be a good person you have to work against it.
the first step is listening to people, understanding where they're coming from, understanding that your life isn't prototypical and there are experiences you don't have. you need to use empathy

A tought : mastodon is perfect for organising. If each group has it's instance, they can federate each other with important information will organizing themselves in the local one. Maximum transparency, and like that you cannot get shutdown. Every party/union/group can keep it's data inhouse.
