I see a lot of comments about @verge@twitter.com redesign being confusing. I wonder if it has something to do with age and people who grew up without magazines and newspapers. I don't find it at all confusing, it's very reminiscent of a magazine layout (I still have a magazine subscription).

Hey @GoogleStadia@twitter.com is there any wat to repurpose the controllers we have? I'd love to use it with my PC, Phone or Consoles.

The stigmatisation of mental health problems in society is also a big contributor to this. We are always told pull yourself together, just work through it. There's nothing really wrong with you.

Social media is a symptom not a cause. It's clear that Molly needed proper mental health care and support and didn't get it. This is a failure of our mental health care services provided through the NHS. Music, D&D, Movies, Video Games have all been blamed in the past.

Ian Russell, Molly’s dad, and Molly’s whole family have had to fight so hard & for so long to identify & expose the role of unregulated social media in this utterly tragic case. I hope the govt respond fully to it & people support ⁦@mollyroseorg@twitter.com⁩ bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lond

Would ove to know what is going on with Windows 11 and these stupid permission bugs. This is my user and I'm getting it so often when deleting folders and files.

It has to be pretty embarrassing if you think of yourself as a Silicon Valley power player and you're NOT saying something dumb in Elon's texts

It’s really making me think twice about getting a Pixel Phone again. Are they really committed to supporting the hardware and ecosystem long term. They’ve yet again given up on their Chromebooks. I certainly wouldn’t buy the new watch.

Show thread

It was clear they weren’t committed when they closed the game development team after 12 months. Everyone from the start thought google didn’t have the commitment for this sort of project and it turns out to be true. I’m expecting more hardware deaths soon too.

Well this was the inevitable end for Stadia. Google just doesn’t have the staying power for long term bets. I wouldn’t trust the longevity of any product they release or announce these days. blog.google/products/stadia/me

Of course back then we really had to wait to see it here in the UK. It didn't debut until 26th Sept 1990. And we had no alternate means of viewing it. I think Paramount still thinks the world works this way too, by the way it's handled releasing new Star Trek series.

Oh and TNG's debut was yesterday 35 years ago!

It's a day to make me feel old isn't it. The PlayStation was released in the UK today 27 years ago too.

27 years ago today, the PS1 launched in the UK 🎂

If you could play any PS1 game again for the first time, what would it be?

Want to feel old. On this day 30 years ago. Dirt by Alice in Chains and Core by Stone Temple Pilots were both released. Two of my all time favourite albums.
