Assembled the 2m/70cm antenna that's been kicking around at Cheltenham Hackspace, and got a good signal report from a radio amateur 17km away - with the antenna held halfway out of a window and, we later found, not properly assembled (SWR was 1.2:1); when we put it together right we got a 1:1 SWR - so when we get it mounted on the roof, we should have pretty good reception across much of Gloucestershire! APRS digipeater/iGate is definitely on the cards... #hamradio
