1. Got a +2 diopter lens for kitty photo booth so it can better focus. Hoping to install today.
2. Ordered all the wackier parts/tools needed to make the Emergency Bisexual Lighting contraption.
3. Ordered all the parts for a new project: Phrenology Head Drum Machine (aka Drum Head).
4. I'm collaborating with someone to build and run an intro to microcontrollers workshop for makerspace volunteers.

Yay! Finally got everything I need to start making my own circuit boards!
Why the baking soda? Because the solder mask (the thing that gives circuit boards their distinct green or other circuit-board-y color; that green film roll in this pic) uses sodium carbonate as a developer. This can be made super easily from just heating baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), which creates the following reaction:
2NaHCO₃(s) → Na₂CO₃(s) + CO₂(g) + H₂O(g)
SCIENCE!

Long overdue kitty photo booth update: I got new LED strips for the lighting a while back; these have a color temp of ~3000k, which hopefully will be a much better alternative to the overaggressively blue ones I had in there previously.
The new light strips are mostly installed; I just have to solder on some leads chaining them together in the morning. Some other adjustments have been made that will hopefully improve diffusion.
