Are there any real alternatives to Calibre? I mean, it's a *beast* of a program, I know it's the best app that can do the things it does, but I really don't like the UI lmao
I mostly use it for converting and sending books to my old Kindle, and I'm wondering if there's anything else that can do that without looking and feeling like WinRar 4.0 running in Windows XP 😅

apparently my elderly neighbor has been maintaining a personal website about the history of UK photography and it is an incredible piece of work.
apparently he still uses some piece of adobe software from the 90s. there is so much care and effort here, and its such a pristine image of the early web being still updated 😭

Mastodon has a verification mechanism, though it looks different from Twitter's. We do not ask for your documents. Instead, if you have a website that you are known by, you can verify that you are the owner of that website.
Link to your Mastodon profile from the website, either through a visible link, or through a <link> tag in the head of the document, with a rel=me attribute, and link back to that page from your Mastodon profile. It should then get a green checkmark, like @Mastodon.
