Fickly flailing between the extremes of:

① ‘Acme is clearly the superior interface, paired with UNIX — or, better yet, Plan 9 — for their simplicity of integration and clean separation of concerns’, and
② ‘No, give me a Lisp machine, and failing that, whatever will boot Emacs!’

Echoing this, whether I want to explore running the former on NixOS, or the latter on Guix.


To some degree I feel like I’m arguing with myself over the relative merits of cutting a cake into rectangles, or the usual circular sectors… but I’m just going to have the whole cake to myself anyway.
