The #fediverse is a network that conists out of multible different plattforms that can speak/listen to each other.
Every plattform is indipendent and can by that create an enviorment that fits their needs.

I've just started reading about some #blockchain #journalism projects like Civil, Po.et and DNN. Very intrigued. Anyone out there want to share thoughts on these?
It dawned on me that Mastodon could become the perfect social network for children & teenagers. Parents could ensure no cyberbullying, sexually explicit, other appropriateness went on. Is there already an instance for kids/teens?

Look at big news channels like #pbs and #npr
Plutocrats like Koch Bros and Bill Gates literally buy them and put their lobbying in there
This corrupts #journalism
The "big guys" literally buy the news
Or "help writers"
They basically hire them as writing mercenaries
This poisons the whole pool of #journalism
Erodes trust in writers as a whole
