"St. Valentine's Day Of Old"
#20thCenturyCard #ArtNouveau
I've been itching to clean up and post this for ages. So... ta-daaa!!
So, the whole thing is on nice paper, with the cover on embossed card stock. The interior pages are smaller than the cover, but I fudged that for the sake of a unified set.
Boost if this is way more eye makeup and blush than you'd ever wear.
All right, yesterday when I was lamenting my terrible online social capital, I forgot the time I posted this on LJ and frightened half my followers. D'oh!!

The shape of the wreath makes me think there's a horse-racing joke in here somewhere.

"There, in his provincial glory,
Ruled her sire-- so stories run--
In the times of merry Tory,
And of Colonel Washington.
"This sweet maiden had a lover,
Though her father kept her hid
(Trust a youth's eyes to discover
Beauty 'neath the closet lid!)
"And at every tender meeting
Would he urge her, 'Love, be mine!'
And he pondered such a greeting
For an ardent valentine."
