I remember watching a very good UK (probably BBC) history documentary on wireless radios that went from Hertz's spark gap all the way to mobile phones. Must have been from the mid 80s or early 90s.
Does anybody remember that?

I remember that where more parts in the series, e.g. about the motor or the phone. But I can't find it anymore.
Left quite an ipression on me. Still inspired to do a Ham Radio course along the history and not other more arbitrary things.

Hamradio adjacent 

Most people that in my opinion do interesting RF stuff, do the hamradio thing only on the side or as a jumping off point.

Hamradio itself seems boring to me currently and looking at the boards and on youtube mainly seems to be about which rig to buy.

Don't get me wrong, I am also prone to that, but it feels like this is missing out on so much.

Where is the cool stuff going on in ham radio currently?

Ich habe beschlossen das heute ein neues ajhr begonnen hat. und zwar um 6 Uhr morgens.

Die Justiz in Frankreich erkennt erstmals an, dass die Untätigkeit des Staats Frankreich im Klimaschutz rechtswidrig ist.

Question re riots in NL 

Can anybody tell me more about the ideology of the people rioting? I have heard that they want "freedom" but also that they are (more libertarian) anarchists.

So far, I have mainly seen far-right and neo-lib/cons in protests in Germany, UK and North America.

Would be very glad if somebody has good english or german sources for the developments in NL.

@andrej wobei ich zugeben muss, dass das in Ostdeutschland mir häufiger begegnet ist, dass der Vater oder Großvater nach 45 Waffen verbuddelt hat. Meist wurde vergessen wo genau. Und nach 56/68 war das vielen zu heikel und sie wurden abgegeben. Kenn bestimmt neun halbes duzend solcher Geschichten.
