When i read fiction, it is like visiting a country I have never been to before, but so much more intense and life-changing. Libraries are the exotic cities of people’s minds, filed away, neatly and quietly

basically, a friend went to a bbq joint for lunch on monday, and long story short, my phone ended up suggesting "Solutions" as the word to go after "Gender," cuz of course gender is going to get involved in any discussion between two trans people, so i went with it, and ve responded with...

gender.solutions

so guess what i worked on tonight

It's a really cool touch (which I didn't notice 'til now because I've not seen TDW basically since it came out) that Loki's play at the start of Ragnarok is almost line-for-line the same as his actual 'death' scene in TDW, with the choir even singing the same music.

Odin's a total heartless warmonger when the Dark Elves attack Asgard - more the Odin that Hela remembers than the benevolent ruler Ragnarok pretends he was.

I'm rewatching Thor: The Dark World and it's kind of amazing how massive a retcon Ragnarok was.

Ruby 2.4 has implemented Enumerable#sum natively, so my D&D ability score function is now down to just 46 characters!

Genuine question: what the f--k are Cartoon Network playing at with this Steven Universe release schedule? mastodon.social/media/besl7U-C

Aaand Grey just retweeted Notch, so I think that's probably me done with Hello Internet.

Added to the recent stuff they've been talking about around YouTube (that creators don't have a moral responsibility for what they create and upload, and that YouTube has no moral responsibility for what its platform provides to its customers), and I'm spending more and more of my time disagreeing with what I'm listening to.

The latest episode has a discussion about the new series of Black Mirror, and the podcast's perspective that the torture of non-sentient beings isn't amoral is borderline horrifying.
