@what Yes, JPEG, along with most lossy image formats, uses perceptual color space, in this case YCbCr, which prioritizes colors more easily distinguished by the human eye. Combined with chroma subsampling, or compression of less important channels, blues and reds probably don't compress as well as greens.

@beet_keeper also this made me notice that the Archivematica sample data repo (which includes the OPF format corpus as as submodule) was using a really old version of the OPF format corpus.
