D: wenig Worte, viele Bilder #immerzeichnen.
E: lack of words, but still have visuals.

Komisch, ich kann tweets von privaten accounts lesen bevor ich folgeerlaubnis hab.
Es ist ECHT beeindruckend, wie konsequent Leute über Vielfalt, Buntheit und Individualität im generischen Maskulinum schreiben können.
Dear fellow #Mastodon users. Please be patient with the people creating Mastodon and GNU Social.
Writing software takes time, and the teams working on these applications are very small.
Most of them are also wearing many hats. Some are students, others have full time non-Mastodon jobs. Some admin instances in addtion to writing code.
The Twitter kitchen probably has more people working in it than the entire #Fediverse. Please adjust your expectations accordingly! 😄
@cassolotl @PinkCathodeCat im pretty certain a lot of autistic traits are just from us being punished for doing things that weren't normal
@gohomekiki One thing I've found helpful is to follow a bunch of marginalized people on social media. Birbsite, here, Facebook, what have you. And then don't say anything to them for the most part.
Not to say don't be friendly, but don't horn in or ask questions or give "your side" or anything like that. Just make them part of your daily reads, and pick up familiarity via simply having them as part of your daily reading.
#immerzeichnen ist mein hashtag weil ich täglich nicht schaffe und wöchentlich nicht immer.
hier in Venedig auf nem Turm stehend fröstelnd weil Wind, gezeichnet.
If you want to write 1 thing about #autistic people down in your personal social rulebook, let it be this:
Never lecture us on how to communicate.
Or perform according to non-autistic social norms in general.
Not without being asked to or having at least asked yourself for our consent, when you feel the need to explain things.
Instead, learn about how many autistic people communicate and why and what it means to us. Learn about the violence this ableist society uses to make us look like non-autistic people.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't tell us, if we hurt you. That's always okay. Just don't lecture us on communication stuff.
Just learned about types of empathy!
COGNITIVE EMPATHY - ability to predict others' thoughts and intentions, ability to "read between the lines". Often poor in #ActuallyAutistic people.
COMPASSIONATE EMPATHY - the desire to help others. Usually not affected by autism.
AFFECTIVE EMPATHY - the ability to share someone's feelings. Usually not affected by autism.
~
This thing happens that I attribute to being #ActuallyAutistic and having poor cognitive empathy.
When someone tells me something, I know that I am expected to express an emotion in reaction. But I also know from experience that some of my emotional reactions are inappropriate.
NTs seem expert at knowing which of their emotional reactions are appropriate, so they can effortlessly express the appropriate emotions and suppress the inappropriate ones.
It's unsafe for me to react authentically to anyone.
