Just finished the season 2 of Mindhunter in as many days, and have fount it one of the most bingeable shows I've ever seen.

While I did enjoy the format (as well as the content!), it made me think about incentives for Netflix to make bingy shows.

Is binge watching result of creative freedoms for writers that get to make 10 hour "films"? Is it a format for modern audience without patience to follow a show for months? Is there some other financial benefit for Netflix?
What do you think?
