I anticipate using this open source natural language understanding/intent extraction tool a lot for teaching:

(had previously avoided teaching these topics because everything usable was also cloud-based and proprietary, which does not jibe with either my personal philosophy or that of my department)

@aparrish I'm curious as to the results you'll get with it. They seem to be using a semantics based on a set of constant strings ?! Or did I skim over their code too quickly ?

@Sasha there are several training backends plus you can import already-trained models from LUIS or wit. <- good blog post about approaches to the problem

@aparrish Haha now I understand the `restaurant_search` semantics in the lib's examples 😆 Also, nice that they demonstrate their stuff with Word2Vec. Thanks for the link.
