@dogtrax I made my own covers most of the time but didn't have anyone to 'geek out' about them (or my song mixes) with. I loved making covers for my mixtapes: doing so was therapy, like making the tapes themselves, making other art, and singing was for me. Those were the days...

@aquadonia I made only a few but I still remember someone at a party, who knew I wrote songs, passing me three mix tapes full of bands I had never heard before. What a gift! It’s hard to do that with a streaming playlist, I think. (I never saw that mix tape maker again, oddly enough. He was a sort of Johnny Appleseed of music)
