Those were just the voting blocks they thought they could manipulate into voting for them using identity politics and victimhood. Just look at their past bills in Congress and their voting history. They are not the allies they claim they are, and as soon as they figure out which voting blocks will win them elections, they will drop the ones that don't fit their strategy.
