OK, I'm seriously wondering why, when my ZNC loses connection with an IRC server, it's joining channels with extra # prepended.

Because any client connected can join, it could be mIRC, AndChat (I doubt it), irssi, or ZNC itself doing this...

@bhtooefr which server is this? Do those single # channels have some special modes that let you in only when registered and you do not register with NickServ automatically?

@saper I've seen it on multiple servers - looks like most recently it was on adams.freenode.net.

I woke up this morning and I was joined to ##, ##, ##, ## - all of those should be ## (and I was also joined to the ##) - as well as # (which should be #, and I was also joined to that). Modes are +cnt or +nt on the correct channels.

The other day, on irc.orospakr.ca, I was joined to # and ##, as well as (the correct channel). Modes are +nrt.

@saper ...now I suspect it's mIRC doing this, because a query's also opening to myself when this happens, but only on mIRC it seems.

@bhtooefr maybe mIRC needs /join channel instead of /join #channel in the configuration?

@bhtooefr do you have channels specified in your znc configuration? client? or both?

@saper Channels should only be joined by ZNC, but maybe it's trying to rejoin the channels... but only sometimes?

@saper (I removed all channels from my irssi config, so I don't think that's causing it, and I never put any in my mIRC config or my AndChat config.)
