Disabling JavaScript by default won't break the web.

Disabling JavaScript by default will only show how broken most of the web already is.

If a website doesn't work in Lynx and it isn't a single-page app with a "this is an app and needs JavaScript" message inside a <noscript> tag, then it's a defective piece of shit. Don't even think to @ me on this.

The really impressive part is this map, where they look at the most efficient EVs in the US market - the Hyundai Ioniq BEV, the Tesla Model 3 Long Range, and (in charge depleting mode) the Toyota Prius Prime.

Looks like the Union of Concerned Scientists has new EV grid efficiency numbers: blog.ucsusa.org/dave-reichmuth

Sales-weighted, the average EV in 2016 had the carbon footprint of a gasoline-fueled vehicle that got 80 miles per gallon (or about 2.9 l/100 km).

#introductions hi! I'm kate.

I'm a techie burnout, interested in security, software dev, and privacy.
I do things on Windows others find absurd and like to mess around with Linux networking and containers.

I love to road trip and travel, have very eclectic music tastes, and am not much of a video game player.

I'm some sort of nonbinary transfemme [pronouns: she/her or they/them] living in Ohio, USA, described by others as "left-leaning", with opinions on healthcare and infrastructure.

Random thought: If an amateur radio operator complains about "appliance operators" or "hams not making things any more", they don't get to complain about amateurs not operating any more.

If it helps people get into the hobby, and they're using good practice in operating their equipment (and the equipment isn't polluting the spectrum), who cares if it's pre-packaged?

@samis for anyone who finds the screenshot hard to read (probably due to it being sourced from microfilmed newspaper because the story is >40+ years old) its also mentioned in the links below (the last one showing the original timeframe of the report).

I do not know if the WC (or reactor) or both have since been modernised (I would hope so!)
