I sometimes think the 8-bit games were better than the 16-bit games.

@bigzaphod Very much. Minimal graphics & sound meant you had to focus on gameplay. 16-bit's only good for RPGs, where you need the detail & big world, every other genre they had to spend 4x as much on art & music, and so spent less on game design. And that's why today we have "AAA" 64-bit games which do nothing, buggy piles of shit, that cost $100M.
