the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT is one of the most successful #antifascist movements in USA ―so much so it’s why fascists repackaged themselves under the banner of Reaganism and never looked back.
yes, when you look at the history books, euroamericans are placed at the forefront as leaders in #anarchism #syndicalism and #anticapitalism, but make no mistake:
all BIPOC leaders, especially MLK Jr, described the #CRM as an #antifascist struggle.
that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t walk around with an #antifa flag all the time, doesn’t mean he was not working from an anticapitalist and antifascist stance.
on the contrary, he was keenly aware of the historical moment he was living in and saw #Vietnam as the pivot for American fascism’s flourish.
there is no Fred Hampton overtly calling for an all out war on fascism without MLK Jr explicitly making the connection with Jim Crow, colonialism and fascism…
#fascism is often described as #capitalism turning #colonialism inward.
once the ruling capitalist classes run out of scapegoat minorities to colonize, they turn against the “buffer zone”, the so-called hegemonic working classes that separate & protect them from the colonized masses.
in USA #racism creates that buffer zone by allotting more money & access to designated hegemonic segments of the working classes.
so let’s speak of this from a neoconfederacy perspective…
to be part of the American oligarchy/ruling classes, you have to be a capitalist.
USA oligarchy treats labor as a plantation. so to them, white working classes are akin to plantation managers.

And I would also like to point out that many white Republicans cheered lethal police brutality against minorities, and now this is just how the police are used to operating, and the brutality numbers against white people are going up.
Tolerance of bigotry sets up a system that will ultimately turn on you.
