Aside from character count and the federated timeline, it feels identical to twitter before trying to be a profitable company.
The user base definitely feels more like tumblrs though

@imnotafeline Hmm, in federated timeline you just get a megaflood of posts, so far i figure you have to opt out/apply many filters to mkake it actually useful?
