anyway hey if you're going to GDC i'm part of a panel on co-ops so like come to that and hear the longer pitch for this
a lot of like anticap ideas are explained drenched in theory and jargon but stuff like this is pretty intuitive and tbh i didn't connect with any of it until i was like wait a second this is like my life
and yes i know not every boss can just like immediately stop being a boss and dismantle/rebuild the structure of the company b/c of loads of complications but just saying there's like an end goal here
imagine how cool your cool boss would be if you were on an actual even field and not doing this dance around the fact that at the end of the day they have enormous power over you.
like you might get a lot of mentorship or support from your boss but that's because you like their mentorship and support which they could totally provide without taking home more money than you do per hour worked, and without them having final say on most of your at-work realities.
stanning for your boss is weird. i get it like on a personal level but outside of that it's just bad for you. boss makes more money than you do off your labor and has more of a say in what you do 5/7 days of your every week than you do. it's bad, folks. you'd like your boss more if they weren't your boss.
i'm in dsa so i feel like the sanders 2016 campaign never really ended, for better or worse
and you know what? i'm pretty down on myself pretty much constantly but i'm happy that i can do all the stuff i do as far as making things as well as write music. that's cool. love too be prolific in multiple arenas. leaving a body of work.
i was in bands for 10 years and i guess in the 10 years since then i've been drumming on tables and humming and i've been building up years of songs to get out. it feels really really good.
i am kind of proud tbh. and very relieved to be doing music again. did both of these in the past 5 days. it's a start!
first track is just guitar, bass, programmed drums and the two moogs. second track is the two moogs and digital percussion stuff.
second one, is not loud: https://instaud.io/private/8d8e4c0ff48a90438a9527371979172ebfb89b89
ok so recording abilities have progressed to the point where i'm making moderately ok tracks.
got two to share. first one, is loud: https://instaud.io/private/3d60f29f1068b6411873b32aca209d88740d59b4
*flipping through the front page of the escapist*
- fascism is bad, sure, but we really should talk about western culture under attack
- we shoved a camera in this clearly uncomfortable woman's face because we are hard hitting news about video games
- why it's toxic berniebro-ism not to celebrate the marvel cinematic universe
