whatever you clever web kids are doing lately to break such esoteric browser features as "the arrow keys make the page go up and down" and "the Home and End keys work", i wish you would kindly reconsider.

@brennen And let's not forget ctrl-f bringing up "find in page" or double-click highlighting a word.

@freakazoid
@brennen my personal favorite is when they put a print button inside the browser window, when the browser has a perfectly good keyboard shortcut for that.

@skquinn @brennen Hmm, most of the cases I can think of where there's a print button, it sends a PDF or something rather than just calling the print function directly. But that should be done with the CSS printer view (or whatever it's called) anyway.

@freakazoid @skquinn i can tell you from long, painful personal experience that behind every situation where you see a print button on page, there's probably a litany of woe and complaint to some extremely hassled set of devs about adding a print button.

(and i guess probably at root this is because users don't know they can print stuff otherwise.)

@brennen
@freakazoid it says a lot when so-called technology literacy revolves more around learning how to point and click a mouse than learning what the software can actually do and how to do it, sometimes using keyboard shortcuts to get there.

@brennen and if I find out which moron is responsible for disabling clipboard paste for password fields I am going to hunt you down and correct you with a horse, a battery and a staple.
