@aparrish the php stdlib documentation site has a similar vibe. why is there a comments section on the documentation at all, is a question one might ask

@deathsatchel @aparrish at least with the php one you can pretty reliably just treat the comments as if someone had sifted the solution space for things you definitely should not do.

with stackoverflow, there will be an idea that mostly works but isn't optimal and may contain a serious trap for the unwary (the highest ranked response), then you have to scan the calamitous nonsense for the better idea that didn't get as many votes...
