#NASA JPL's #Perseverance Rover will land on #Mars on Thu 18 Feb 2021 at 11:15 AM PST (7:15 PM UTC). Animation of the "7 Minutes of Terror" landing process: https://vimeo.com/493544128

At the moment of landing in one hour, if they're following the same processes and script as with Curiosity in 2012, you'll want to hear four status reports in quick succession: "Tango Delta nominal", "RIMU stable", "UHF strong", and "Touchdown confirmed."

#Mars and #Perseverance are currently 11 light minutes away from Earth so really as of this moment it's already over there; the signals are just still en route.
Yup, same landing script! TD nominal, RIMU stable, UHF strong, touchdown confirmed. #Perseverance is on #Mars. First images inbound from the rover's front hazcam.
After today new #Mars images from the #Perseverance rover's various cameras will post to the Raw Images section: https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/multimedia/raw-images/
really looking forward to the #perseverance #mars helicopter https://mars.nasa.gov/technology/helicopter/

@brownpau ...and as an old "Apollo Kid", I gotta tell ya' there's nothing like that calm, stoic, reassuring burble from Mission Control.
@brownpau
OK, sorry but it has to be said:

@brownpau I get a 503 for this link
@scully yeah, public-facing EYES is on AWS and it just got overloaded
@brownpau I guess that's kinda good? People interested.

@brownpau
