Thinking about buying some shitty laptop (or NUC-like device) to stop mixing personal work with $DAYJOB.

Skyrim felt absolutely dull, empty and pointless, and yes, the graphics aged enough to break any immersion. Also I couldn't care less about the story (BOOM, dragon, congrats you random man, you are the chosen one, save the world). Totally subpar if you played Morrowind.

It pretty much means I bought Nintendo The Legend of Mario Odyssey: Breath of the Night in the Stardew Woods console (+ ARMS for local multiplayer). Expensive toy for so little.

Kirby Star Allies is more disappointing than any 3DS entry, and they were already really mediocre when compared to GBA and NDS. Beautiful, but lacking any dynamism and difficulty, despite the fact I tried to solo it by having allies only where required.

I don't regret buying Switch but I admit that most of games I played so far were disappointing. Bayonetta 1 and 2 are too chaotic to make any sense (comparing to DMC3), side quests in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are terribly boring (and characters design is obnoxious fanservice), Golf Story despite the praise is just a 2D golf game, Mario Tennis is quite unbalanced (good luck winning against defensive characters abusing trick shots), adventure mode is lengthy tutorial and swing mode is a disaster.

Hi folks, have you considered adding Tootle to Flathub? Quick glance over the manifest tells me that it's pretty much ready – it just needs enabling appdata and pointing to latest stable release (and fixing some formatting nitpicks but that's small problem).

In the meantime people lost their minds about GitHub acquisition. Even if MS ends up turning it to another CodePlex, it's unrealistic to 1) expect it will happen next week 2) organizations with multiple repositories will switch to GitLab overnight 3) think moving to gitlab.com actually helps decentralization.

Find your towel and don't panic. There are things to do but running around frantically is not one.

Sleeping less than 7 hours was never a good idea in the first place, but just 3 is a little overboard.

I visit Mastodon rarely but literally every time there is some drama going on, either about Mastodon itself, or Pleroma, or Fediverse in general.

Drama driven development.

(Not saying that Flathub is much better though, but at least it enforces building from source except for applications like Spotify or Steam.)

Not sure if glib is frustrating or I just suck at doing anything in C.

GCC 8 is now available in Arch Linux [testing] repository.

Official CLI for AWS sucks so much that it's faster to use browser than attempt to figure out which subcommand should be used to achieve something.

Next Thing Co., company known for CHIP and , winds down. Looks like I'm the lucky one that I received my hardware in the first place – their forums is filled by people that did not, some of them were even backers of Kickstarter campaign. Too bad, it's a fun toy to play with.

What tools/services do people use for todo these days? My Todoist premium expires next month and looking for something possibly better that offers sensible Android and browser applications.
